Doga Non Grata

Here we are in Apache Junction, AZ, ready to take our trailer for service tomorrow.

Finally found an RV park here in high season.  Most of the RVs here are not RVs, but rather permanent park models. Park has narrow roads plus high curbs to scrape the trailer hitch of a fully loaded truck.  Makes for a challenging backup park job.  Get the picture so far?

They tell us about a small dog run, which you can walk to.  Or go thru the locked gate to the adjacent sidewalk if you do not want to walk on the (narrow) park streets.  We choose the latter.

We walk outside and over to what appears to be a fenced area inside.  But no entrance back in.  We keep walking, eventually all around this large park and fail to find another gate.  We finally return to the main entrance.

Where the first of two security personnel tell us that we must carry our dog thru the park till we reach our area of "pet sites."  His feet may not touch the hallowed ground in most of the park.  No poopin'.  No pissin'.  No prancin'.  Huh?

Please see Clancy's recent posts about canine rights.  Now you see why!!

Oh, by the way, that dog run was actually outside the park.  Get the complete picture now?

Making a note now for future non-use.

Hey, B&J-

we're just down the road a piece in Mesa, at Val Vista Village. Can we offer Clancy (and owners) a drink?
